The big three: Product, Branding and Packaging

Successful product brands provide not only an amazing product, but a great product experience for their customers.

To stand out from your competitors it’s vital to understand the customer journey of your purchaser, how they interact with your product and the feelings these interactions evoke.

Great product brands seek to create positive experiences and emotions for their customers. These memorable, pleasing moments drive customer loyalty and increase the chances of repeat purchase. Happy customers often become advocates for not only your product, but your brand.

The hone.pd brand design experience

Packaging matters

Great packaging not only meets practical requirements, it speaks volumes about your product and your brand.

Why packaging is important:

  • Keeps your product safe during transit

  • Impacts the cost of shipping depending on the product’s size and type

  • Influences user experience by both its look and ease of use

  • For some products (eg. shampoo) packaging may be key to the experience of the product during the whole life cycle.

Great packaging, starts with the right process...

  • Identifying requirements

  • Creating concepts for potential solutions

  • Designing the packaging form and how it will be produced (for instance, moulded bottles, or die-cut custom boxes and inserts, or Point of Sale marketing elements)

  • Prototyping and testing

  • Creating graphic design for packaging  which considers elements including aesthetic appeal, barcoding, QR codes, SKU numbers, batch codes, and mandatory markings.

...and the right partner

No matter your product, hone.pd supports design of packaging and provides a range of services to fit your needs and budget.

Client Story: Staytray.com.au

This development has been recognised by several packaging awards including the PIDA packaging innovation award.

  • Packaging is important for all products, but takes on a special significance for products like creams and lotions, where the package remains the key point of a customer’s interaction for the duration of the product’s life.

Then again, sometimes packaging IS the product.

This is the case for the StayTray which was designed by hone.pd, fulfilling founder Kate Stewart’s vision for using recycled plastic to eliminate single-use carry trays.

This development has been recognised by several packaging awards including the PIDA packaging innovation award.
